Dinner for Schmuks 4 1/2 hey it could have been alot funnier with the comics they had. It was nice to see fat jesus again and gaining some more film time. Steve Carrell is as wacky as they get but it was kinda sad at the end. Paul Rudd gives a great believable performance and just as crazy too.
Inception -5- wow a movie that actually makes me think and wanting more and keeps me on the edge of my seat. Worth seeing again and Im going to. Alot of good storyline if you follow it closely and listen and keep up with the pace. The characters work great and alot of action and this makes you think what is real and dreamlike? If you enjoyed Matrix and something like Total Recall, you'll enjoy this highly.
Predators -5- thank you Robert Rodriguez for making a quality film from the franchise and doing it justice with believable characters in a situation where there is honor and lots of action and some acknowlegement from the former films in there. It was awesome to see Brody play the lead and well as new characters and situation for the Predator and some surprises.
Grown Ups -4- this was a pretty good Sadler movie although Spade was playing the same type of character, it was pretty funny. Lots of funny comedians in the story including Rock and Kevin James.
Nightmare on Elm Street - 4 - Well this was a pretty good remake. I was hoping for much more gore and bloody stuff but it was pretty good. A bit more storyline as to how and why Freddy got to be who he was. Pretty creepy. Great storyline and it flowed pretty well and kept my attention. Worth seeing.
Shutter Island 4 1/2 it was dark eerie and full of guess for me the whole way thru. Was it real? did it happen, was he going insane? who was in on it? It kept me guessing as I said and I still wonder but it was a great flick to check out. great acting and nice to see jackie haley in it as well.
To make room for other things, here is the original movie intro for Star Wars IV a New Hope it;s in the comic adaptation I bought back in 77....
